Where do my taxes go?

Taxes and budgets are complicated and take a lot more time to digest than many of us have to dedicate to it. Check out these graphics that simplify where your money goes. Let's start with Property Taxes. For every $1 you pay in property tax here in Hutchinson, the City gets 25¢.

Now for Sales Tax. Of the 8.6% sales tax collected here in Hutchinson, 1.4% goes to the City of Hutchinson.

So, now that we have established about how much of your tax dollars actually go to the City of Hutchinson, let's look at how we invest what we receive.
